This section configures servers with installed microts and microts_agent to analyze Multicast streams; the streams themselves that need to be analyzed, as well as accident triggers and contacts for alarms.
With the MVision module installed, this section also provides viewing of device metrics and device management.
To perform requests to stream analyzer servers and alarm operation, you need to configure the corresponding Smarty module and a regular command in crontab, more details: reference.
Alarming
Addressing groups
Accident messaging contacts can be grouped together for easy setup.
Addresses of notifications
In this section, contacts are added to send crash reports, and the contact belongs to the group.
Triggers
This section is designed to configure triggers for certain monitoring events. Currently, there are 2 types of monitoring:
- Multicast monitoring.
- Device monitoring (MVision).
Each type of monitoring has its own keys for setting triggers:
- Keys to monitoring Multicast:
- Number of CC errors.
- Number of PES errors.
- Scrambled.
- Sound loss.
- Video loss.
- The stream is not available (Not on air).
- Keys for monitoring devices:
- Average processor load.
- Processor temperature.
- Average waiting time I/O.
- Use of processor resources by monitoring application.
- Used memory.
- Free memory.
- All memory.
- Memory use by the monitoring application.
When creating a trigger, you need to select one of the keys and set extreme values for it (for some keys you can not set a value, since their values are not numerical, but logical - the event either is or is not there) - if the value of this key falls into the established framework, an accident will be created.
To notify about the created accident, you need to configure the text of the notification message and select recipients.
Accidents
This page displays automatically generated crashes based on triggers.
Monitoring Multicast
Main page
This page displays summary information about the status of the analyzed Multicast streams: channel name, bitrate, recent error samples.
For each stream, you can open detailed information by clicking on its name. The detailed information page displays the disassembled flow structure, as well as a graph with the sample results for the specified time period.
Microts-agent servers
This section adds servers with installed microts and microts_agent packages. The host address and port on which the microts_agent listens are indicated in anticipation of requests from Smarty.
Stream groups
For ease of display, all analyzed flows should be combined into groups.
Multicast streams
In this section, threads that need to be analyzed are added, indicating their binding to the analyzer server. At the start of the team check_streams Smarty will send requests to the appropriate microts_agent instances on this thread list using the stream address as a parameter.
